Rury L. Grisham is a registered U.S. patent attorney with degrees and work experience in the fields of electrical engineering, optical engineering, and mechanical engineering. Mr. Grisham’s practice includes the preparation and prosecution of domestic and foreign patent applications, client counseling, responding to Office Actions, preparing Appeal Briefs and conducting Examiner Interviews. Mr. Grisham’s technical experience includes a wide array of technology involving electrical and optical systems, telecommunications and optical communications, electronic and optical components, semiconductor device manufacturing and fabrication, and mechanical devices.

Prior to Barta, Jones & Foley, P.C., Mr. Grisham worked as a patent attorney for boutique law firms in the Washington D.C. area and as a patent examiner at the United States Patent & Trademark Office.

Mr. Grisham received his J.D. from the University of Kansas School of Law, M.S. in Optical Engineering from Norfolk State University, and B.S. in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina A &T State University. During law school, Mr. Grisham served as an IP research assistant, a clerk for Chief Judge Thomas Newton for the Missouri Court of Appeals, Western District, in Kansas City, MO, and as an intern for the Paul E. Wilson Project For Innocence & Post-Conviction Remedies representing clients in appellate and post-conviction litigation in state and federal courts.

Mr. Grisham is a member of the Pennsylvania State Bar Association and is admitted to practice before the Bar of the State of Pennsylvania and the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
